Large goblets and chalices echo through myth and legend—The Holy Grail, the Cup of Jamshid, Dionysus’s wine chalice, and Lilith’s dark vessel. Across cultures, from Celtic groves to Persian courts, these sacred forms held peril and promise: long life, wild ecstasy, forbidden knowledge. To drink was an act of bravery—or madness.
Our asymmetric wooden chalice channels that mythic spirit, shaped in the wabi-sabi tradition that honors natural form and imperfection. The bowl retains its raw bark edge, peaking unevenly like a windswept crest. Its stem is turned off-center, giving a soft, organic arc, while the base keeps knots, cracks, and bark—traces of the living tree. Crafted from dense fruitwood, it’s solid, stable, and full of character.
Use it as a night-light holder, a serving bowl, or a dramatic centrepiece for your altar to nature. As for drinking from it? We’ve never dared—so what happens is up to you.
Inspiration: Holy Grail, Mythic Chalices
