Large Natural Wood Chalice

A large natural wood chalice carries echoes of myth and legend. Think of the Holy Grail, the Cup of Jamshid, Dionysus’s wine chalice, or Lilith’s dark vessel. Across cultures—from Celtic groves to Persian courts—goblets and chalices held both peril and promise. They symbolized long life, wild ecstasy, or forbidden knowledge. To drink from such a cup was an act of courage—or madness.

Our asymmetric wood chalice or goblet channels that same mythic spirit. Shaped in the wabi-sabi tradition, it honours natural form and imperfection. The bowl retains its bark edge, rising unevenly like a windswept crest. The stem leans off-center, forming a soft, organic arc. The base holds knots, cracks, and bark—marks of the living tree. Crafted from dense fruitwood, the chalice feels solid, stable, and full of character.

This large natural wood Chalice works as a night-light holder, a serving bowl, or a striking centrepiece for an altar to nature. It can also stand as a display piece, rich with symbolism. Drink from it if you dare—the story is yours to tell.
