Fruit Bowl in Apple Wood

This fruit bowl is made from the wood of a fruit tree – apple. The bowl is heavy and has a presence. Gold coloured filling is used to fill cracks in the bowl in a Japanese Kintsugi style. The bowl stands on a pedestal which raises the bowl from the table and has a sloped modern thick rim. This is a statement wooden piece that would grace any table.

The finish is mineral oil, lemon oil and shellac and the bowl can be cared for by washing by hand, drying thoroughly and then oiling.
