This plate is turned from rare Wild Olive Wood—an exceptional material not often seen in woodturning. That’s a shame, because the grain is nothing short of dramatic: full of contrast, wide stripes, and captivating natural patterns. This particular wood was sourced from a garden tree right here in Poland, giving it a story as unique as its appearance.

Instead of using bold contrasts, we chose to blend the decorative rim gently into the natural grain, allowing the wood to remain the star. The rim features a Greek key pattern, with square shapes and fine lines that play beautifully against the organic curves of the wood. Rather than a thick border, the resin is used sparingly—delicately forming a golden ring that enhances the pattern without overwhelming the piece.

In sunlight, the Greek key motif glows like ancient bronze, and as you turn the plate, the shimmer seems to shift—adding an almost magical depth. Though the wood may appear reddish in photos, it presents a warm, natural brown tone under typical indoor lighting.

Food-safe and water-resistant, this plate can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth. It feels timeless—like a relic from an ancient table, updated with a respectful modern twist.
