This shallow dish still seems to hold pine cones with remarkable, deceptive, depth. Made of swirling transparent orange epoxy the dish or shallow bowl sits on an exotic wood base of bubinga, the colour of which complements the pine cones. The bubinga is reclaimed from palette wood from Africa and has turned remarkable well with a beautiful smooth surface. This dish could be used for jewellery, floating candle, or offering chocolates or other sweet treats. As a display item it looks great in sunlight and casts an orange glow beneath it, enhanced by the height of the bowl. It is a small piece that would suit a flat and as it is waterproof, could even be used as a soap dish in the bathroom. It can also be used as the centre piece of a small table and appears to offer up whatever is served in it. A flexible piece that will cause admiration and discussion.
